It has been announced that Rihanna is hosting the 2018 Met Gala along with Amal Clooney, and Donatella Versace.
On Wednesday, the Metropolitan Museum of Art revealed “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” will be the theme for the forthcoming gala, which will be hosted by Amal Clooney, Rihanna and Donatella Versace.
“Every show we do at the Costume Institute has that potential,” curator Andrew Bolton told the New York Times of the Costume Institute’s upcoming exhibition. “This one perhaps more than any other. But the focus is on a shared hypothesis about what we call the Catholic imagination and the way it has engaged artists and designers and shaped their approach to creativity, as opposed to any kind of theology or sociology. Beauty has often been a bridge between believers and unbelievers.”
