Rihanna is calling for an end to gun violence after her cousin was shot dead Tuesday night in Barbados.
Rihanna took to Instagram to pay tribute to her cousin, 21-year-old Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, with the caption:
RIP cousin… can’t believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man! #endgunviolence
Sky News is reporting that, Alleyne was walking near his home at around 7 p.m. when he was approached by a man who shot him multiple times and left the scene. He died at the hospital. No word yet on who killed Alleyne.
RiRi was just back home in Barbados in the beginning of December, where she was honored with a street in her name.
