Rihanna And Jack Dorsey Pledge $4.2M Towards Domestic Violence Victims In Los Angeles

Having a safe place to stay during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic is, unfortunately, a privilege in more ways than one, and disturbing reports of rising domestic violence statistics seem to reflect this. Two people who noticed this are Rihanna and CEO of Twitter Jack dorsey, who recently announced a $ 4.2 million joint pledge to help victims of domestic violence in Los Angeles.

The money will go to the Mayor's Fund in Los Angeles and will provide "10 weeks of support to victims of domestic violence, including shelter, meals and counseling for individuals and their children", according to the announcement on the website of the Clara Lionel de Rihanna Foundation. CWF and Dorsey each donate $ 2.1 million to the Mayor's Fund and represent only the latest round of donations from each party.
