Ridley Scott film news - Prometheus and Blade Runner redux
directed by Ridley Scott, Prometheus is due for a June 2012 release and appears to be a re-examination of his seminal ALIEN film from 1979.
In other Ridley Scott film news, it looks like he's CONFIRMED as the director for Blade Runner redux. Now, while I'm a fan of the original film, I'm so looking forward to see how much of the original novel by Philip K Dick "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" (much of which is missing from the first cinematic stab at it) is re-folded into the 'Blade Runner' narrative.
Will Scott be fool enough to dial the MOOD MACHINE?
Will Scott be insane enough to investigate MERCERISM.
Will Scott be sage enough to warn us about KIPPLE?
My pet theory about the Blade Runner world is THERE ARE NO HUMANS LEFT and a 'technical glitch' like 'fate' or 'chance' allows some androids to be Empathic and others to miss the off-world shuttle. But that would be too much for any Hollywood film to reveal, surely...
