It’s Friday, Friday, gotta post a blog on Fridayyy! Happy Friday to my amazing followers. I am so so so pumped to do this makeup challenge. A few Youtubers that I love to watch have been posting on their channels about “Ride or Die Makeup.” I knew this was a challenge I could get down with, so I decided to join in on the fun.
Basically, this challenge requires me to choose my holy grail products in every makeup category. I can only choose ONE product per category. This means one face primer, one foundation, one mascara, etc. etc. etc. Let’s get to it, shall we?
- Face Primer – Smashbox Photo Finish! This is the most amazing primer, in my opinion. I swear by this stuff. It keeps your foundation lasting long, oil-free, and flawless.
- Foundation – Nars Sheer Glow. Honestly, choosing one foundation was really really hard for me. I have many foundations that I use based on the weather, occasion, my mood, etc. However, if I had to only choose one, the first that came to mind was my Nars Sheer Glow foundation. This product has buildable coverage with a satin finish. I always feel flawless and beautiful when wearing it.
- Concealer – Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Damn, Nars… you are killin’ it right now. Haha! This concealer is everything. It hides redness, under eye circles, blemishes, you name it. I am out of this concealer right now and totally hating it. I love this stuff.
- Face Powder – BareMinerals Mineral Veil. I fell in love with this powder in college, but I hate wasting it. I only use it for special occasions that way it lasts me longer haha.
- Blush – BareMinerals Ready Blush in the color Natural High. I am obsessed with this blush. I use it every single day and it is the most perfect pink with a touch of bronze for a natural look.
- Bronzer – Hoola Matte Bronzer by Benefit… is there really any other bronzer to consider? I mean don’t get me wrong, I love other bronzers. If we are talking about our holy grail, ride or die, products… Hoola wins always.
- Highlighter – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in the color Luminous Light. When it comes to highlighters, I rarely go cream. I prefer powder because it is easy to apply and doesn’t make me look cakey. As for this highlighter, I cannot think of any highlighter that has pleased me more than Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. Almost every color is stunning, but my favorite of all time is the color luminous light. This color is a champagne pearl that deserves to be used on the reg.
- Mascara – Clump Crusher by CoverGirl. The only mascara that I have used since the beginning and ALWAYS use. I am obsessed with this. For me, I have long lashes, so length isn’t an issue. What I cannot stand is when lashes clump together. What better way to get rid of the clumpy lashes than with Clump Crusher?
- Eyeliner – Yves Saint Laurent Dessin Du Regard Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in the color Bronze. THE ONLY EYELINER I USE!!! No joke. I hate eyeliner, especially black eyeliner. This is the only eyeliner you will ever see me use. It has to be the color bronze, too. I only use eyeshadows as my “liner” in browns or purples.
- Eyebrows – Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade. I really love this stuff. I don’t use it all the time, but it is the best overall in quality and precision.
- Eyeshadow Palette – Shaaanxo Palette. I know I talk about this all the time, but seriously… it is everything I could ever want in a palette. There are nude options, smokey options, and even options that can double as a highligters. It is versatile which I think is a necessity. Plus there are lipsticks on the other side! Amazing.
- Eye Primer – Urban Decay Primer Potion. The best of the best. That’s all I can say about it. Give it a shot.
- Lip Stick – Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Plum Velour. Purple is my all time favorite lip color. I feel most confident in dark lips, so I always go for dark reds, purples, and even browns lately. The next color I want to tackle is black!
- Setting Spray – Urban Decay All Nighter. Easy.
- Perfume – Ha. Yeah this is way too hard. I guess I will just name one of my all time favorites if I have to… I have MANY! Michael Kors Glam Jasmine.
Am I forgetting anything? Let me know your favorite products! When you try this, I promise it will take you longer than you think. Choosing just one in each category is HARD!!! With that being said, I hope you give some of these products a chance and trust that I really had to weigh my options here. If you want some alternatives, let me know.
