Several months after Category 5 Super Typhoon Pablo killed more than 1,200 people, damaged 216,000 homes, displaced about 24,700 families, and caused multi-billion damages to properties, the distraught children in Compostela Valley, Mindanao continue to live in tent cities and temporary shelters. Until now, they still cry when it starts to rain.

Biblica Publishing Philippines invites you to join the crusade to care for these displaced and vulnerable Comval children. Through Ride-2-Provide Pilipinas: Pidal Para Sa Batang Comval 2013, let us ride to provide them food, education, and hope.

Riding on 13 October 2013 (Sunday), Ride-2-Provide Pilipinas: Pidal Para Sa Batang Comval 2013 is now accepting online registrations!

Route:

Tiendesitas Grounds U Turn to Ortigas Avenue Straight ahead to Virra Mall Greenhills Turn Right to N. Domingo Turn Left to Dona Hemady Turn Right at E. Rodriguez Left Turn to Tomas Morato Turn Left to Timong Avenue through Scouts Rotonda Turn Right to Quezon Avenue Straight to Elliptical Road going to Commonwealth Turn Right to Batasan Exit at Batasan underpass back to Commonwealth Avenue Left Turn to Tandang Sora Go straight to Katipunan Avenue Go up to Katipunan Flyover then Katipunan underpass to Libis through Ortigas underpass Turn Right to enter Tiendesitas on the right side.

Start/End Point:

Tiendesitas, Frontera Drive near C5, Pasig City

Ride Out Time:

Assembly time is 5:30am. Ride-out time is 7:00am.

Distance and Duration:

Estimated length of the route is approximately 37 kms which will take about 3-4 hours to complete.

Pace:

A fun bicycle ride around Metro Manila, the pace will be a relaxed 12-15 kph controlled by the pacer marshals.

Rest and Stops:

There will be hydration stations in key areas along the route to re-group and re-hydrate. Cyclists who want to stop while riding should move to the side of the road to avoid any congestion and accidents.

Support and Gear (SAG) Vehicle and Ambulance:

SAG vehicles will trail the peloton to assist the riders unable to continue the ride.

Requirements:

All participants must be duly registered, physically and mentally prepared, and agreed to the waiver and quit claim in the registration form.
It is presumed that children below 18 years old have been granted permission by parent/guardian. Minor must ride accompanied by registered adult participant.
All riders are required to wear a helmet. No helmet, no ride.
Bring own water and personal snack.

1. Buy ticket of Ride-2-Provide: Pidal Para Sa Batang Comval 2013 advocacy bike-a-thon at SM TICKETS –CINEMA COUNTERS nationwide, except in SM malls without cinemas like SM Makati (Ayala), SM Harrison,SM Cubao, and SM Quiapo in Metro Manila.

2. After ticket payment, payee will receive SM-issued Ride-2-Provide: Pidal Para Sa Batang Comval 2013 ticket as proof of payment.

3. Payee must go to www.smtickets.com or http://goo.gl/K9WKfG, look for the Ride-2-Provide: Pidal Para Sa Batang Comval 2013 link, completely fill-out the uploaded Ride-2-Provide: Pidal Para Sa Batang Comval 2013 registration form, and agree to the Terms and Conditions stated therein.

4. 2. Upon payment of corresponding registration fee, payee will be issued especially marked Ride-2-Provide Registration Form that he/she must completely fill out.

3. To claim biker’s kit, bring the completely accomplished especially marked original Ride-2-Provide: Pidal Para Sa Batang Comval 2013 registration form to Ride-2-Provide Pilipinas representative at Ride2Provide Pilipinas Help Desk in Tiendesitas, Frontera Drive near C5, Pasig City on 28-29 September 2013 or 05-06 October 2013.
