Big Oak completed its latest web design project for a local Richmond church, Discovery United Methodist. The church's previous site was dated, lacked a modern and cohesive design, and had limited functionality.
Big Oak installed a WordPress Content Management System (CMS) and modified a WordPress theme to reduce time and costs for the client. They had a short list of requirements, and relied on Big Oak's decades of web design expertise to provide a church web site the congregation and staff could be proud to call home.
Discovery United Methodist Church asked for the site design to be:
- Easy to Maintain
- Easy to Read
- Mobile -Friendly Design for Smart Phones
They also requested the following functionality:
- E-giving & Signup Needs to Be Simple
- Calendar of Events Easy to Update
- Protection from Spam
And finally, the website for this Richmond church should be user-friendly for all age groups - something for children, youth, young adults, adults, and senior members.
