Revisiting Little Quiapo After Renovations: A Beloved Classic with New Vibes

By Clari @clarisaysblog

Back in 2018, I wrote about one of my favorite Filipino restaurants, Little Quiapo. It's a place my family and I have visited countless times over the years, especially with my abuelita. Now, in 2024, after running some errands with my Ninong, we decided to stop by again for brunch, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of nostalgia and change.

The Quezon City branch has undergone renovations and expanded into a two-floor space, offering much more seating. While I appreciate the new look and extra room, I have to admit I miss the cozy, intimate atmosphere of the old setup. Our first visit after the renovation felt different-perhaps because it didn't have the same charm, or maybe it's the absence of my abuelita that made it feel bittersweet. Either way, it left me reminiscing about the good old days.

During this visit, I enjoyed their buttermilk pancakes and Kastila Latte, but the sandwich and palabok, which were once family favorites, were just okay. While this experience was more of a quick stop, I'm confident we'll return soon for a proper meal and to rekindle the joy that Little Quiapo has always brought us.
