Description:
Once upon a time, a girl had a father, a prince, a society of friends. Then they betrayed her, and she destroyed them all.
Adelina Amouteru’s heart has suffered at the hands of both family and friends, turning her down the bitter path of revenge. Now known and feared as the White Wolf, she flees Kenettra with her sister to find other Young Elites in the hopes of building her own army of allies. Her goal: to strike down the Inquisition Axis, the white-cloaked soldiers who nearly killed her.
But Adelina is no heroine. Her powers, fed only by fear and hate, have started to grow beyond her control. She does not trust her newfound Elite friends. Teren Santoro, leader of the Inquisition, wants her dead. And her former friends, Raffaele and the Dagger Society, want to stop her thirst for vengeance. Adelina struggles to cling to the good within her. But how can someone be good when her very existence depends on darkness?
My Rating:
Review: The Rose Society Book 2 finds Adelina apart from the Dagger Society and out making her own way.  The Dagger Society are reeling and struggling to regroup when the impossible is thrust upon them.  They reluctantly look to a dark place for a solution.  Adelina, now known as the White Wolf, has lost her strongest advocate.  Armed with a heart filled of heart, revenge, and rage, she trudges forward in pursuit of her ultimate goal of the thrown.  Before she can take the thrown, she's got to find some new allies though.

On the story...
I liked this one better than the previous installment but my dislike of Adelina did not improve.  If anything, I like her even less.  Her actions seem to be thoughtless and selfish, but she's a fighter.  There are plenty of twists and turns, surprises, and adventures to hold the reader's attention from the start to the end.  You don't need to like the main character to appreciate this read.

On the narrators...
These narrators are pretty strong.  I always like two narrators when we switch between characters in chapter form.  I might recommend the books over the audio only because lots of things happen and you might was to settle in and relish the adventure in parts by rereading a few sections to get the full impact.  I will continue with the series on audio though.
Overall...
I plan to finish this series and feel that the series is still a worthwhile read.  Some people like dark antihero.  For those who fall into that category, this is a must read.
