Violet Ambrose senses dead things. She's inexplicably drawn to them. This talent causes her to stumble unto the work of a serial killer. She must use her disturbing skill to help solve a local mystery and stay off the radar of the killer. Oh... and there's a boy.This one was just meh to me because the premise had such promise but it ended up being just an ordinary story. It's a mystery, I guess, but it lacks the tension of the really great ones. Violet and Jay's relationship didn't excite me either. There really isn't much to say about this one. Overall, it was just okay. So much could have been done with this idea and maybe the subsequent books are better. Maybe the subsequent books flush things out more and explains Violet's talent. You guys will have to tell me because I have no intention of continuing.
