Review | Rimmel Apocalips: Big BangRimmel London: Apocalips 'Big Bang' | £6.49

As I'm sure you all know the Rimmel Apocalips caused a stir within the blogging community when they were initially released well over a year ago, and like always it seems as if I'm the last to join in on the party. When Rimmel first released these lip lacquers, a type of lipstick/lip gloss hybrid I was a bit skeptical as I hadn't been blogging for too long and didn't fancy forking out the cash for a product that I was on the fence about. Jump to last month when I finally got around to purchasing the shade Big Bang; a vibrant true red that reminds me of the much hyped about Ruby Woo from MAC and I instantly fell in love with the very thing that I had been dubious about, so much so that it made it into my October favoritesThe first thing that I noticed when I applied it was just how pigmented it was. There's been many a time where I think I've finally found a true, bold red for the actual product to be nowhere near as vibrant on my lips as it appeared in the tube. I also found that it tends to dry rather quickly once you've put it on, it turns into a matte texture which stops it from straying and exploring your face.  The one slight downside that I will point out however is that I did find that slightly too much product clings onto the applicator brush, leaving me with small little red lip gloss bubbles that I had to wipe away, although I do have very tiny lips so maybe that's just more down to me than the product. Overall I was extremely impressed with this offering from Rimmel and I'm now silently kicking myself that I didn't bite the bullet sooner and snap one of these up. If you are looking for a red lip shade that's spot on for the Christmas season then I'd defiantly recommend this to everyone.
