My Review: There's a new paranormal super team in town tasked with discovering whether the senator's wife jumped off her balcony to her death or whether she was pushed. With bones popping up and old mysteries aplenty, the answer isn't an easy one.
On the story...
I love a great mystery with paranormal elements. I find it intriguing when both the paranormal answer to the mystery and a non-paranormal answer seems just as plausible right up until the end. I love that as I progress, I still won't know what I will find. This is the beginning of a series and I have to admit that I found a few elements a little rough around the edges. At first there seemed to be too much "stuff" going on. We have different paranormal storylines and the "bad guy(s)" did too much bad for reasons that just didn't seem convincing to me. Despite these minor negatives, I found this book to offer so much. I was definitely sitting on the edge of my seat from beginning to end and I didn't guess much of it at all.
On the narrator...
I was a tad (okay a lot) disappointed that the narrator wasn't Luke Daniels. He is the narrator in the rest of the series, right? Mr. Cummings was okay but not great. I didn't like his female voices at all but everyone else was okay. I couldn't differentiate between characters very easily. But he's not a bad narrator, definitely not bad enough to skip the audio.
Overall, this was a good mystery and the series interested me enough to keep going.
