I have had my teeth professionally whitened once in the past, and considering it cost £150 I wasn't too impressed with the results. I did think about having it done again prior to our wedding but never got round to it.
I've always dreamed of perfect teeth, I even remember begging for a brace when I was younger. I've always said if I ever won a lot of money, I would love veneers on my teeth, I love sparkling white teeth.
I don't think I have the worst teeth in the world, but I did smoke for a good few years and I am usually an avid fan of red wine, both of which have had a negative impact on my teeth.
I was sent Pearlys Weekly Teeth-Brighten Powder and Pearlys Teeth Whitening Foam to try out and review on my blog.
Pearlys Weekly Teeth-Brighten Powder (RRP £12.50) Use once or twice a week instead of your regular toothpaste. Remove external staining leaving teeth feeling (and looking) shiny and bright.
You only use this powder once or twice a week instead of your normal toothpaste and again brush for 2-4 minutes. I found after cleaning my teeth with this they felt really clean, this is probably due to the sodium bicarbonate and green tea in the ingredients. Pearlys Daily Teeth-Whiten Foam (RRP £12.50) Each time you brush apply a layer of foam on top of your regular tooth paste. Contains sodium perborate 0.16% which breaks down into oxygen and water, the oxygen lifts the staining from inside the enamel.
The foam is very simple to use. You literally just apply a layer over your usual toothpaste on your toothbrush and then brush your teeth for 2-4 minutes. My only issue with the foam is the odd taste, it reminded me of washing up liquid, so I had to make sure I didn't use too much.
I've been using both products for around two weeks. As you can see from the pictures the differences aren't massive, but I do think my front teeth do look slightly whiter. I think I would probably get better results if I used an electric toothbrush.I think use over a longer period of time would make the results more noticeable. I will continue to use the products and see if my teeth look any whiter. You can pick up the products online from Pearlys website. *I was sent the products to review on my blog*
