Too bad he’s already fallen in love with her.

Charlotte Baldwin has a secret. She fled Philadelphia to escape the sins of her past but someone is following her. What better way to hide than by marrying Michael West, Cold Springs, Montana’s enigmatic shopkeeper? A new name, a new life, and a passionate husband is exactly what she needs to leave her sins behind. But when it comes to keeping secrets Charlotte may have met her match in Michael. When a connection neither of them expects catches up with them, the shocking revelation means Charlotte may have run right into the arms of her enemy.

No sin stays a secret forever….
My Rating:
Review: Our Little Secrets
My Review: Our Little Secrets is a cute "marriage of convenience" story that manages to contain all the things that I love about this trope while setting itself apart with fun lovable characters.  Charlotte "Charlie" Baldwin is running from her past when she ends up on a train full of women heading west to find husbands.  Michael has a past of his own but finds the quirky and intelligent Charlie difficult to resist.  Both try to fight the feelings they begin to feel for each other while trying to keep their secrets firmly hidden from the other.  Unfortunately, secrets have a way of getting out.
This was a cute comfort read.  It's the perfect read for that time where you have tons going on and want to escape or if you just don't want to think.  I mean, who doesn't want to read about people rushing into marriage after knowing each other for a day.  Yes, some of the events were unrealistic but nothing outside the expectations of the genre.  Charlie and Michael are cute together and I enjoyed them as a couple.  Their secrets were revealed at just the right pace.  The sex scenes were surprisingly steamy but they didn't make me blush.  I also loved all the side characters and the splashes of humor.  This read felt like a contemporary read though it was a historical/western romance.  Some of the actions and dialog just didn't fit the time period but I was able to overlook it.  Overall, a cute summer read.
P.S.  Sorry I've been ghost.  I'm still here, but barely.  Le Sigh.
