Mr Review Addict brought this Oreo Brownie home today and thoughts of reviewing any other product this evening were quickly banished! I was surprised to learn that he found it in our local Londis store. It was fairly pricey at £1.80, although that is cheaper than I have seen it in some import stores and I have seen it on eBay for some quite frankly disgusting prices.
It is fairly flat in shape, probably only about 1cm in depth but it is still quite a beast at 85g so we shared. The whole thing contains 370 calories.
The brownie has some white frosting on the top which looks great against it's dark background. It's hard to see from my photo but there is a layer of vanilla creme filling that runs down the middle of the whole thing.
The brownie is dense in texture and slightly chewy. It's not really as stodgy as what I would expect from a brownie, there is no gooeyness to it but it tastes pretty awesome. It is suitably chocolatey and certainly had the Oreo flavor to it especially with the sweet creme center.
Verdict
Although the texture of this Oreo Brownie could have been better it did taste pretty good and I think that it's the creme that makes it. I would definitely buy it again if I saw it in Londis but I wouldn't be paying those ridiculous eBay prices!
