Review: Kris Life Kit - Matte Matic Lipstick and Brow Liner & Brow Mascara

By Berrycreamie @mhi1106

The moment I read the first review of Tita Kris' Kris Life Kit, I knew that I have to have at least of each. Being a lazy shopper that I am, I opted to shop online. Thankfully, it only has two shades to choose from, I didn't have to spend too much time contemplating which one to buy. I bought Kris Matte Matic Lipstick in Love and Kris Brow Liner and Brow Mascara in Beyond Brown.

Kris Brow Liner and Brow Mascara

Where to buy: In all Ever Bilena kiosk/stall nationwide; BeautyMNL

Ever Bilena and Kris surely kept their line in a minimalist packaging design without compromising the signature logo of Kris. Compared to the old packaging that EB has used, they definitely outdid themselves here. The design is straightforward and informative.

The Brow Liner and Brow Mascara already came together in one tube stick - liner on one end and browcara on the other. Convenience-wise, this is a great idea, however, it's not something I would use on a daily basis if you are an on-the-go kind of girl. Because the brow liner came with brow mascara, you need a separate spooly to soften the hard lines of the brow liner. The Brow Mascara, on the other hand, was made really nicely. The brush is short and small with pointy end to help the user control the amount of product to apply on the brows and also to avoid getting messy upon application and lesser mistake too.

The Matte Matic Lipstick is in a jumbo crayon style that many brand have been using since I don't know when. The thing about this kind of packaging for a lip product is that you can easily control the amount and the way you apply it onto your lips. Quit bulky compared to the traditional bullet-style lipstick, but it definitely stands out in terms of dispensing the lipstick. Unless, of course, the bottom part where you will twist to make the product come out become loose that may result to a messy kikay kit.

Kris Matte Matic Lipstick - Love

This lipstick is creamy! I usually have a dry and chapped lips, but even with that condition, Kris Matte Matic Lipstick still did a good job as it glides on smoothly upon application. Its texture sure is smooth and it's a matte lipstick, ha! Love is the kind of red you can only find in an expensive lipstick brand. It suits any skintone, in my opinion. Many of my friends has been asking me what lipstick I'm using every time I wearing this. However, it's not really a perfect matte, there's still some moist in it which I think is the one responsible for keeping my lips moisturize while using it. Kris Matte Matic Lipstick would have been perfect if it has achieved the true matte finish. Still, with its affordable and nice color-payoff, who am I to complain, right? Plus, it can lasts for up to 4 hours without the need to retouch! So, one thing is for sure, I think I just found my next red lipstick holy grail.

Kris Brow Liner and Brow Mascara - Beyond Brown

Shade-wise, Beyond Brown is my kind of color for my brows. It has the right shade of brown to match my black and brown hair. The tip of the brow line is in a triangle form making it easier in creating arches for my brows. It is also creamy without the need for tugging to achieve the right color you wish to have. Blending is a must though, because the color payoff is on the heavy side. Rest assured that even with only brow liner, it can give you a bushy and defined brows. I only uses the mascara whenever I want to add more depth into my brow look. Longevity has never been an issue with this one - you can stop worrying about your eyebrows fading because Kris Brow Liner and Brow Mascara lasts all day long!

Who says you have to spend thousands of pesos to look sosyal? All you need is a pair of Ever Bilena x Kris Aquino's Kris Life Kit and you're good to go!
