So, if you are like me, you have been waiting for the release of Ignite Me, so exciting!!  Here is my review, I couldn’t make a review without very small spoilers, I’m sorry. I tried and as its the ending of the series, I really didn’t want to hold back. If you have not yet read it, get to it, and don’t read this review yet, I’M SERIOUS! I won’t feel even a little guilty if you keep reading. It took me a few days to write this, not kidding, I had a real book hangover.

I have to start off with how the  Shatter Me series left off before Ignite Me… Juliette was shot, and we found out Warner had special skills, like acting as a link to have Juliette healed by the twins. Ignite Me starts with her waking up, in none other than Warners room, back at his sector base. Right here, I’m going to go fangirl on you and say – How descriptive, poetic, and fluid is Tahereh’s writing? Honestly, I am not usualy a fan of anything close to flowery, I get annoyed because I feel like the story is being delayed by the details, BUT, before you get mad, I don’t feel that way with her writing. The was she transforms words into describing feelings and layering them to make the story human, leave me stunned. If her writing style  was a font, I picture it like this:

I was really wrapped up in this story, I have to tell you, in the process of reading this, I went to see an early screening of Vampire Academy, while there, tore my calf, had to go to urgent care..messy night, and when I got home, all I wanted to do was finish Ignite Me. The action picks up quickly, after Juliette finds out that all of Omega Point is bombed, including everyone there, she has a put-on-your-big-girl-panties-moment and decides she will lead the rebellion. I loved how Warner reacted, as if he knew she was always capable, and it just more firmly put me on team Warner. The story continues, with twists and excitement and she comes up with a plan to take down The Supreme. I can’t say enough how much I really was into her story. I feel like in terms of a series, the character growth was exceptional. I know, really know, the ending a series can’t be easy. Everyone has an idea of what they’d like to see, and someone will be upset about what actually happens. After finishing Ignite Me, I like to think Tahereh went with her gut, and just finished it they way she wanted to, with her intimate relationship to the characters, she did it in a way that left me satisfied. I felt the characters lives would go one after the last page. I so loved this book, and I have to say, I am sincerely looking forward to what comes next to one of my new favorite authors.
