Description:
It is 2058, New York City. In a world where technology can reveal the darkest of secrets, there's only one place to hide a crime of passion-in the heart.
Even in the mid-twenty-first century, during a time when genetic testing usually weeds out any violent hereditary traits before they can take over, murder still happens. The first victim is found lying on a sidewalk in the rain. The second is murdered in her own apartment building. Police Lieutenant Eve Dallas has no problem finding connections between the two crimes. Both victims were beautiful and highly successful women. Their glamorous lives and loves were the talk of the city. And their intimate relations with men of great power and wealth provide Eve with a long list of suspects-including her own lover, Roarke.

My Rating:
Review: Glory In Death
My Review: Eve is once again embroiled in a high profile case when a high powered assistant DA is murdered in a vicious way.  There are no suspects and Eve's boss is hopelessly personally connected to the case.  Eve and Roarke's relationship skids to a stop when he is once again connected to the women in the case.  But things soon get worse when an unlikely suspect is found and Eve's cop instincts get her in trouble with the department and the media.  Eve is desperate to find the murderer before this case ends both her relationship and her career.
These barks are so easy and quick to read.  I can't believe that I'm just now reading this series when it has been available forever!  I enjoyed getting to know Eve and Roarke more.  The tension in their relationship was my favorite part of the book.  I'm seeing the technological advances more.  The change in laws we all know and hold dear are becoming more apparent, making this series quite refreshing and it stands apart from others.  Though I loved this installment, a few elements of this mystery irked me.  It just seemed too similar in theme to the first one.  The low opinion of women and Roarke as a suspect is a trend that I hope stops right now.  Or at least give it a break.  That being said, it was a fun read and I had no idea of the killer at all.  The drama between the characters kept me turning each page and wanting more.
I am quite addicted to this series now.
