FirstLadyB: Entertainment News With A Purpose
CBS is premiering two new shows tonight that I think you’ll enjoy.
The highly anticipated “Evil” and the comedy “Carol’s Second Act” starring Patricia Heaton.
I had the opportunity to screen both of these shows early, and I must say…. viewers are in for a Thursday night treat.

(It’s scary and suspenseful, but in a good way). It’s like the “other” side of “God Friended Me” (season 2 premieres Sunday night).
In “Evil” Mike Colter plays a a former priest-in-training who investigate various claims involving alleged miracles, demonic possession, and other spirit world stuff that’s not easy to explain.
Katja Herber plays a forensic psychologist for the New York district attorney’s office. Her job is to assess whether accused murderers are sane enough to stand trial.
Colter and Herber team up and their characters begin to examine the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. She sees things from a scientific standpoint while he sees things from a religious point of view. Caught your attention yet? Anyway, tune in tonight for the series premiere of “Evil” and let me know what you think, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Then there’s “Carol’s Second Act” first let me say, I am so happy to see Patricia Heaton back on the small screen in this comedy that’s sure to be a hit with momma’s all over the world.

All Rights ReservedIn the new series, Heaton plays a 50-year-old woman who pursues her dream of becoming a doctor after raising her children, getting divorced and retiring from teaching. How many of ya’ll can relate to this storyline? I know I can, and that’s why I think this show will be one of my favorites this season.
Then there’s the fact that all of her peers are half her age. It’s like those stories you here about people who go back to school later in life, and find out that they’re the same age as their professor, and their classmates could be their son/daughter. But anyway, in the season of the woman being able to do what she wants to do unapologetically… I am READY for this show!
Carol’s Second Act premieres tonight (Thursday) at 9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT and Evil follows at 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.
