So excited about starting a new series! I love(and also hate a little) waiting for new books to be released… seeing whats going to happen to the character I’ve falling in love with. This is a series that I’m hooked on now. For fans of Aprilynne Pike, prepare to be sucked into another one of her series. Luckily, we are currently doing a giveaway for a signed copy of Earthbound as well( click here). Heres a little info for you, stay tuned for the review below!

Michaels is the sole survivor of the plane crash that killed her parents. When she starts to see strange visions of a boy she’s never spoken with in real life, she begins to suspect that there’s much about her past that she isn’t being told.
Tavia immediately searches for answers, desperate to determine why she feels so drawn to a boy she hardly knows. But when Tavia discovers that the aunt and uncle who took her in after her parents’ death may have actually been responsible for the plane crash that killed them–and that she may have been the true intended victim–she flees for the safety of Camden, Maine, where the boy she sees in her visions instructs her to go.
Now, Tavia is on the run with no one to trust. No one, that is, except for her best friend and longtime crush, Benson.
Tavia feels torn between the boy who mysteriously comes to her at night and the boy who has been by her side every step of the way. But what Tavia doesn’t know is that the world is literally falling apart and that to save it she will have to unite with the boy in her visions. Only problem? To do so would mean rejecting Benson’s love. And that’s the one thing Tavia Michaels swore she’d never do.
Its so hard for me to write reviews about book like this, you know books that start off with you already having SO MANY unanswered questions… you are reading to try and pull out new tid bits to better understand the story. So where do I begin, without blowing everything for you? Theres so much I want to gush about!
Tavia is immediately bondable, I love how smart she is! I mean, you know when your watching a horror movie, bad guys breaks in and the girl runs upstairs and you’re like, “WTH, run outside, run away you bimbo!!”, well that happens in books too, girls act dumb or overly dramatic then you kinda hate them. Tavia is sensible in her thought process, I never wanted to punch her, and when she does make questionable decisions, she at least is aware of it. She’s been through a lot of tragedy and I like how she has still kept her own self in tact. Like I said, who can’t bond with a girl like that?
Now, boys…..yep there are two boys. Now, before you start picturing a werewolf and vampire love triangle, just STOP. These boys are both perfectly amazing, but they pull different parts out of Tavias’ personality. Both boys are also perfectly aware that she really doesn’t know who to be with and is so confused about how she can feel as strongly as she does about two different people at the same time. She desperately tries to not lead either one on, see, she really is so likeabe.
The story does unfold so, so well. I loved how the story threaded together to tie up loose ends, and make sense of whats going on. I loved all the bread crumbs along the way to lead me on the trail to solving what the heck is going on. Oh, let me tell you, there is a lot going on… as soon as I’m positive I understand the motivation behind a character, everything comes undone and I throw for a loop. I seriously cannot wait to see where this series goes. You have to read this, like yesterday! Check out our giveaway, or if you’d rather not wait, go buy it now!
