A big thanks to UbiSoft and the Clever Girls Collective for this opportunity.  I have been selected as a UbiChamp for them, and will be reviewing games throughout the next year.  Please click here to learn more about UbiSoft.

Being apart of the UbiSoft Champs program I was asked to review the facebook game, “CSI: Miami Heat Wave.

I thought this game would be perfect for me because I have always loved those crime shows such as CSI, Law and Order, and Criminal Minds, so what fun in knowing that there was a facebook game out there where you could put yourself into the world of the Crime Scene Investigator:

For me, for whatever reason I really enjoy the process of searching for evidence.  As you walk around the different tiles trying to uncover the evidence from the crime scene.  This has been my favorite part of the game.  The other fun part is when it comes time to questioning the suspects.  It’s fun to see their reactions, and what they will say next.  And of course, when you are questioning the suspects you have 3 questions to choose from.  It’s great in testing out your skills to see if you’re asking the right questions.  The game will let you know if you’re on the right track or not.

When you first begin your game, you are taken on a trial run of a case where you are shown all the steps needed to complete your case.  You start by searching for evidence, processing the evidence, and then questioning possible suspects.  By the end of this process you have found your “who dunnit.”

Because this is a social game on facebook, you can enlist your friends to help you along the way with this mission.  They help by providing you with energy, vials that are needed to process evidence.  You help each other along the ways.  This is where I struggled in the game since a lot of my facebook friends don’t actually play many of the games anymore.

But I still had fun in the process.  I’m up to level 9 already and look forward to playing more in the future.
