Review: CC’s Coffee House – New Orleans, LA

By Kenin Bassart @Constantramble

When visiting New Orleans the first place to come to mind is usually the “Original” coffee house, we found a relatively new local chain that really serves up a great brew. Next time you’re in NOLA check out CC’s Community Coffee.
While heading out of town we decided to skip I-10 and head towards HWY 90 to take the scenic route. On our way we decided to rebel against the usual coffee suspects and give CC’s a whirl, and we are sure glad we did. They had a great selection of both hot and cold coffee along with a variety of of alternatives. We both had the Cafe Au Lait (also made with a chicory blend) and found it to be smooth and robust while finishing with a slight earthy nuttiness from the chicory. In addition to the great coffee, we found the atmosphere to be chic and inviting and it would be a great place to have a quick meet-up or a chat. What impressed us the most about CC’s though was it’s staff. Everyone was warm and friendly and quick with a recommendation for the guests who were unsure of what they wanted. Many locals present also raved about their famous Mochasippi which is a custom blended frozen drink. If you are looking for a change and something off the beaten path give CC’s a try.

We Visited the location at 701Metairie Rd, New Orleans, LA 70005
