Of course, the fact that the iGen is matte black, well-weighted, and has a grip with a diamond pattern is advantageous. The actual curler is 25 cm long.
It has a diameter of 3 cm at the bottom where you hold the curling iron and 5.5 cm at the top where the automatic curling unit is located. The weight sits in the curling unit while you grasp the end, making it simple to hold and maneuver. Now let’s talk about curler usage. According to the instruction, you should divide your hair into portions that are 2 cm broad. For most people, this means first separating their hair into upper and lower sections. You click one of the rotate buttons after feeding the top of the hair section over the front dip, down the side of the curling barrel, and out of the rear niche, causing the majority of the hair length to fall out of the back niche. When that happens, the curler will automatically wrap your hair from the top down rather than the ends up.
This isn’t a tough method, but because it’s the reverse of how you’d curl your hair with a traditional curler, it can be a little confusing at first. To observe exactly how to thread the hair through and where to put the curler in relation to your hair, we found it helpful to watch a few YouTube tutorials (the front dip should always face your head).
Another piece of advice is to pin your curls until they cool if you want a set that lasts longer.
The major benefit of this curler is that neither your fingers nor the heated barrel ever come in contact with your ears, scalp, forehead, or neck.
After a while, we started to refine our own method, which made threading quicker and simpler even if we initially experienced a minor tangle panic.
On European 1A-type hair that extends to the bottom of the shoulder blades, we started our test at 190°C. If your hair is longer than this, you might want to choose a corded model because it took about 40 minutes to complete the entire head, not including the time for pinning.

The iGen provided us with flawless ringlets that were the same diameter all the way down the hair shaft at this temperature, making it simpler to re-concertina and pin the hair to the scalp.
