This is the kind of episode that manages to hit a lot of the right notes while also frustrating with the treatment of weaker elements of the season arc. It reaffirms all the things that have been working this season, while also dispensing (or so it seems) the pieces that have been dragging down the overall effort. While it’s good to see forward momentum, it’s annoying to be left with the impression that some plot threads were ultimately meaningless.
