Sometimes all it takes is the return of a beloved character to get things back on track, and when it comes to Castiel, it is a much anticipated and desired return. His absence was keenly felt in the past couple seasons, especially the seventh season, and it seemed odd that he would be sidelined this long after being tied to Dean’s experiences in Purgatory.
