A 73-year-old retired Chief Mechanical Engineer at Sri Lanka Railways has died after being hit by the Colombo – Beliatta express train.
The Galle Harbour Police stated that the accident has taken place on the railway line near the Sudarshanarama Temple in Galle on Monday (13) morning.
The deceased has been identified as T.H. Pathmasiri, who was residing on circular road in Magalle, Galle, has died. The police said that the victim had been walking home along the railway track when the accident occurred.
