Story: Restore Point starts when agent Em Trochinowska (Mohylova) investigates the murder of a couple. It has a connection with a company that bring the dead back to life by restoring them to their former way. A new technology was created to amend wrongful deaths. However, only one of the couple is restored, David (Hadek).
Em works with David to learn what happened, which soon sees them investigating the company. However, the restore process hasn’t been as smooth for David, as he deals with the side effects. The two face a race against time to learn the truth and end the corruption before others become victims of the system.
Verdict on Restore Point
Restore Point is a sci-fi mystery following a detective trying to uncover a crime involving a company that brings people back to life. It has been accepted that people who die unlawfully can be restored to their previous selves, but now the company is playing by their own rules.
This movie asks a bigger question about the moral position of bringing people back to life after they have been victims of a crime. It challenges the audience to think about their actions in the same situation. There is a feeling of ‘I, Robot’ with the company having something bigger going on. This keeps you guessing as to where things will go and leaves you surprised with the outcome.
