We will have to wait a little longer to see Jennifer Hudson in the Respect movie, based on the life of the late Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
MGM announced that they're pushing the highly anticipated film back to Aug. 13, 2021, meaning it will wait out this awards season in favor of a late-summer launch.
This is the second time the studio has announced the push back of the film due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
"Respect" is the remarkable true story of legendary music star Aretha Franklin's journey to find her voice in the midst of the turbulent social and political landscape of 1960s America.
Respect also stars Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Tituss Burgess, Marc Maron, Kimberly Scott, Saycon Sengbloh, Hailey Kilgore, Heather Headley, Skye Dakota Turner, Tate Donovan and Mary J. Blige.
