Josh Jacobs challenges fine while NFL cautions of potential suspension
Packers running back Josh Jacobs was fined $45,020 by the NFL for lowering his helmet into a tackler during a game against the Titans. Future violations could result in a suspension, as Jacobs was previously warned by the league. Although Jacobs often lowers his shoulder during plays, resulting in contact with the top of his helmet, the hit that led to the fine was not flagged on the field. Jacobs plans to appeal the fine, and has been fined twice before for similar violations in 2023. One of those fines was reduced on appeal, while the other was rescinded entirely.
