Friday, I went to the Grazia Behind the Catwalk workshop where Grazia's Fashion Director Cara Schiffelers and Fashion Photographer Peter Stigter told all about their work in the big exciting world of fashion. It was very inspiring learning what they do and how things really work in the fashion business. It was interesting to hear two perspectives, that of a fashion director and of a photographer, and have a look into their daily business. It only inspired me more and more to go further with what I'm doing right now and making a career in fashion business. Although I'm not a 100% sure yet what the exact perfect job for me is, I do know that I want to go and discover it in the field, and that it definitely has something to do with communication, fashion and writing! As long as you work hard enough, you can achieve anything you want, right?
After the workshop we had a fashion dinner at Dudok Arnhem. Loved the goat cheese pasta. After having a few drinks and connecting with fellow blogger Petra from Style Your Image, the event 'Peter Stigter aan de Muur' started at Dudok. It was such a great initiative! Peter Stigter's work was auctioned and the auction proceeds went to KNGF, a charity helping blind people, mostly with guide dogs. In the pictures you can see little bits of what the day looked like. A lot of work from Peter Stigter, I'm a huge fan! Also me posing with Cara Schiffelers from Grazia and the last photo is me and Mr. Stigter Himself. It was a great, inspiring day and I've learned so much. Next time Grazia has another workshop I'll be the first one attending!
Tips from the pro's if you're passionate about a career in fashion:Follow your heart. (Peter Stigter)Enjoy the journey. (Grazia's Editor-in-chief Hilmar Mulder)Work hard! (Cara Schiffelers) Simple quotes, but being reminded of these three things every now and then definitely won't hurt!
Have a nice weekend lovelies, I'm off to Voltt Loves Summer Festival!
