Remembering Your Special Day In More Ways Than One

When it comes to your wedding, you can often spend so much time on the preparations for the special day to just fly by in an instant. Then, you're left wondering what just happened. With a mix of excitement and fear, adrenaline kicks in and the day whizzed by without a lot of time for you to just step back and enjoy it. So, it's no surprise that everyone wants to be able to document their wedding in order to remember it. But, how exactly are you going to do that? You've definitely got the more classic options, but, you can always remember your special day in more ways than one.

So, first of all, of course, you're going to have an official photographer to document your day. Regardless of the style of photos that you want, you need to be able to find a photographer that you feel at ease with, and that has a style that you like. Sometimes, you may even want to do a trial with them, for family photos just to make sure. Or, you've also got their portfolio to consider too.

This is definitely getting increasingly popular, so you may want to think about getting an official video of your day too. For years, families have been making their own home movies at events like weddings, but there's nothing quite like a special montage of your wedding to remember it by. You could go for the best bits or even get a videographer to take shots without you knowing so that you can remember moments that passed you by.

Then you've got the well wishes that your guests will want to leave you. Most people have some kind of guest book at their wedding, but you might want to think of creative ideas that you can do instead of a book. Sometimes, you might want your guests to write on wine bottles or puzzle pieces so you can decorate your home. Or, you could even get them to take pictures to add into an album for you as the day goes on.

You always think about getting wedding favors for your guests, but what about getting favors for yourself too? As a bride, you're going to want to remember your day in lots of different ways. So, sometimes, keeping your own favors or even choosing decorations that you can then store around the home is a good way to keep a piece of your wedding day with you for the rest of your life.

And finally, you might want to leave some of the memory documentation to your guests. If you know about everything, it doesn't always feel the same to look back on it all. But if you were to provide polaroids so that your guests can snap away for you, you'll be able to feel apart of everything that happened on the day, and also remember it for the rest of your life. You could also choose to go with disposables, but you may find that the instant shots you get from polaroids are more fun.
