Jenelle Evans’ 14-year-old son, Jace, has come back home, safe, after reportedly running away. It marks a moment of immense relief for the family of Evans. The news has arrived 5 months after the Teen Mom 2 star received custody of the boy.

Jenelle Evans, 31, gained fame through her appearance on “Teen Mom 2.” Her 14 year old son Jace was missing. She released the news of his safe return through her manager, August Keen, on August 15. In a statement shared with Us Weekly, Keen confirmed that Jace had been located and was safely back at home with his family. Evans expressed her gratitude to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department and everyone else who expressed concern during this challenging time.

TMZ reported on Tuesday that Jace had gone missing and the authorities were searching for him actively. Jace was last seen leaving his school earlier that day wearing a gray sweatshirt with “Classical Charter Schools of America” written on it.

According to Evans, Jace had faced disciplinary actions at school which led to his phone being taken away. As a reaction, Jace might have run away from home. Evans explained, “Jace is a good kid, and we’re not dealing with anything that most families don’t deal with while raising children. This has absolutely nothing to do with my situation with [my husband] David [Eason].

Barbara Evans, Jenelle’s mother, who had last spoken to Jace on August 14, said that he seemed fine during their conversation. She reached out to Jenelle on Tuesday to ask about her well-being but her daughter asked for some space. Jenelle Evans’ appearance on reality television has turned the public eye on her tumultuous past. But Jace’s safe return subdues the challenges of having her personal life on the public radar.
