Warner Brothers has just announced the release date for the movie ‘42‘. This movie is going to be starting Christopher Meloni, Harison Ford, Chadwick Boseman, Ryan Merriman, Brad Beyer, Toby Hess and T.R. Knight. ’42′ was writeen and directed by Brian Helgeland.
’42′ is a tribute to the baseball player Jackie Robinson and how he changed Major Legue Baseball. Here is more on what the movie is about:
“Ford will star as Branch Rickey, the innovative Major League Baseball executive who is best known for breaking MLB’s color barrier by signing Jackie Robinson to a minor league contract in 1945. Two years later, at the start of the 1947 major league baseball season, Robinson was signed to the Brooklyn Dodgers major league baseball team with the help of Rickey. Rickey was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1967.”
The movie will be coming to theaters on April 12, 2013. It will be interesting to see the part that Christopher Meloni will have in the movie.
