Reinvent Your Wardrobe for the Autumn

By Attireclub @attireclub
There is a saying that September is the January of fashion. And, if you think about it, this makes sense in many ways, as the autumn time is the time when many things seem to start over. If you think about it, many original cultures start their calendar in the autumn, from the Jewish and Christian Eastern Orthodox calendars to the old Celtic one. Thus, the autumn is a good time to bring some new things in your wardrobe and reinvent or simply take it up a few steps. To do this, a good idea can be to invest in thing you wouldn't normally consider. It's not necessary about going out of your comfort zone, but about adding new things to your closet that you would normally not consider wearing.

Here are some suggestions that can make your creative wheels turn and give you some ideas of what directions you can go in.

Even though the trench coat is a widely popular item, many people don't really own such a piece. A good trench coat can really go a long way, as it can protect you from the wind and rain and it also looks really amazing. Most trench coats are just right when it comes to their thickness as well, which makes them just the right thing to wear in the autumn. For example, on a warmer day you can wear it with something lighter underneath, while on a winter day, a trench coat allows you to wear something thicker both in terms of warmth and of room.

Every man should have one or two jackets or blazers. But, if you want to take your style to a new level, you can simply opt for a jacket you wouldn't normally wear. It does not have to be something extremely colorful or sparkly, but it can be something more than a regular piece. For example, an academic, "professorial" jacket in plaid (it can be a muted plaid) featuring suede patches can give you a more confident feel.

A good pair of urban boots can amp up not just your style, but your level of comfort as well. Sometimes, it may be tricky to find a pair of boots that both fits well and is comfortable, but it can be done. You just need some patience and the right boots will come along.

Accessories are always a great way to punctuate an outfit and to express your personality. In this sense, think of purchasing some accessories that speak to who you are and that you will enjoy wearing. Besides the classic accessories, such as belts or ties, you can also think of wearing suspenders, bracelets, a new watch or even a lapel pin.

It's been a while since colorful socks have been highly on trend, but their time is not over. Wearing colorful socks can be fun, especially if you mix two different types. Yes, that can be done - a pattern mix can go a long way and bring you much joy.

There are many other things you can do to up your style in the autumn, in the end, it all comes down to what you normally wear and what you normally like to do. It's good to refresh your looks every once in a while, as your life gets a refresh every now and again too, whether you want it or not.
