Regina King is set to star in the upcoming movie ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ according to Deadline.
Adapted from the 1974 James Baldwin novel by the same name, the story is about a newly engaged Harlem woman who races against the clock to prove her lover’s innocence while pregnant with the couple’s first child.
The Emmy Award winning actress, will play a key role in the film opposite Stephan James and newcomer KiKi Layne in the film which is underway in New York.
