Something tells me I’ve been busy recently. I’ve started to slow down my time on social media for various reasons. Some more rational than others. One main reason is because I’ve been trying to catch up to the summer anime season and…reading some stuff.

So far so good!

It’s definitely been jam-packed this season. At least most of them will be my contenders for best anime of 2014. Of course, I still have a few select Spring Season shows to check out, but otherwise I’ve been thoroughly entertained this summer. Hopefully nothing crashes or burns, though that is always likely. Anyways, let’s get to what’s been good to read lately…

  • Christopher did an interview with Eru Matsumoto, who has composed pieces for both the video game and anime world. We soon learn how creative Chris is by asking Eru her opinion on other composers. I think.
  • There’s only way to know how to choose an anime to watch: BLIND LUCK!!! (Well, probably not, but hey)
  • Cho looks back at what type of LN’s have been published in English, trends she noticed, and stuff she’d like to see in the future.
  • Now I might want to re-watch Mawaru Penguindrum…for the THIRD time after reading Emily’s post since she just re-watched it.
  • Well then, I guess it’s that time where we talk about shows at the midpoint...based on Guy’s list, seems there’s some interesting summer shows this season…
  • Steelbound says that, contrary to popular opinion, Ghibli was already dead, and he outlines ways they can not be dead, essentially.
  • Finally, I have not had the pleasure of watching Rail Wars. I’ve been letting other people watch Rail Wars. That’s been a good thing so far.

Anime and Tweets Don’t Go Together

i don't get it. the most ignorant, bigoted, heinous shit almost always comes from some cute anime lolita profile pic.
