I have some breaking news…I finally finished the winter anime season!…4 weeks into the spring. Boy that’s bad. I have a lot of catching up to do. It’s not easy considering there’s manga I’m trying to catch up to as well, there’s some books I’ve been reading, NBA (and sometimes NHL) playoffs, and Game of Thrones every Sunday. I obviously omitted work!
But anyways, I look forward to watching some spring shows this week. That’ll be fun. Otherwise, here’s some reads that I found interesting last week.
- Well, this isn’t a read, it’s more like you sit down and listen to all these Irish/Celtic anime music that Chris put together.
- Here’s something that Kai, who piggybacked off on Ayame and Nekochi’s post, wrote about anime and manga controversies over the years.
- Another post on how great Shirobako is!
- Sarah, on what happens when you dig deep into the Love Live hole. I still have yet to fall in.
- So why does anime art come on scrolls? Lauren with a fantastic article on that subject.
- Well, I did want to give a shot to Studio Ghibli’s attempt at a TV series, buttt…it never got picked up. Shame. Even with its issues.
- Finally, an interesting look at an OVA simply titled TO-Y, directed by Mamoru Hamatsu.
