Reference Resource Mondays: See Ya Next Snow Storm

Reference Resource Mondays: See Ya Next Snow StormI mean, it’s not like there’s an incoming one heading over to the Big Apple, one of the more “renowned” cities in the world, the place tourists flock to during holiday season (speaking of which boy has it been a ghost town in NY since December and early January with crowd size), and where I have lived for all of my adult life.

No, no way.

Well, even if I get submerged by snow, I’ll still have some articles that’ll keep me sane. Probably.

“Why You Should Support The English Light Novel Industry (and How You Can Do It)” by Frog-Kun

75% of me focusing on this post mostly relates to Frog-kun linking the guest post by Cho last week (you should take a look at that btw), but the rest of the 25% is me just being smug and saying, “No, don’t fully listen to this joker, he’s lying!” mostly because I’m still wondering if LN’s is gonna be the big thing in 2015. Oh, and at this point, the options for buying LNs is still kind of limited. We still gotta wait for some to come out, the LNs are placed with the manga, and you’re better off just ordering them online. For me, I’m still easing my way into LNs, so I’m probably just going to read a few slowly and then assess where the market is by the halfway point of 2015.

I’ll let you know if LN’s have succeeded then. Until then, if you do have a favorite series licensed (and not out of print), then go buy that then.

Some Other BLAND, MEDIOCRE, AND COOL READS

  • E.Minor reminds us that Isuca really does exist this Winter.
  • The Null Set is now 7, which means nothing in the grand scheme of everything, but 7 is a long time.
  • I’m actually reading the Whispered Words manga right now, so it’s cool to know the anime seems to be pretty good as well.
  • I feel no guilt in linking this about Nekopara.
  • Yes, I asked anime industry people what they think about video games being adapted into anime. Their answers are as biased as you expected!
