Reference Resource Mondays: Backlogged Forever

So, you may or may not have noticed that I didn’t do a Spring Compendium this year. I actually haven’t stopped doing them since Fall 2011, so to suddenly not have one up might have been…weird, to say the least. You will also see a bunch of Impressions up…and without my name on there?!? W-what’s going on??

Welp, it finally has happened: I’m taking the Spring Season off.

Well, almost. I am picking up Stardust Crusaders, I plan on watching Baby Steps if I remember to (because sports), and might consider watching one of the NoitaminA shows, probably the one by the director of Bunny Drop (such a shame he’s been stuck on terrible material since then. I cry!). But that is it. If there are any Spring shows out there to look forward to, I’ll just hear about them later. Right now, my focus is on my backlog!

I think one of the reasons why I barely put a dent into my smallish backlog is because I wasn’t actually committed to finishing my backlog. When I took the Fall 2013 season off, it was really half-off, as I watched 5-6 shows. When the winter season started, I ended up picking up 7 shows. 7! Well, I did watch two shorts (Wooser S2, and Tonari no Seki-kun, which I’m still watching), but whatever the case, in trying to go half-way, I didn’t commit myself to actually finishing my backlog. Maybe other people can manage to do both. Maybe I will be able to someday. But not now. So, I decided to stop cheating and go all the way.

How? By not even looking at the AniChart for spring. To not doing the Compendium. To not doing impressions. For this spring. I really, REALLY don’t want to stop doing any of that for summer, so I’ll attempt to do my due diligence and finish my backlogged shows, hopefully well before the summer season starts.

(I should also add that it’s not just taking a half-off of the season that stalled me from completing my backlog, but I’ll consider that a personal matter though.)

Anyways, I’ve wasted enough time preaching to you guys. You all came here for some good reads and fun tweets this morning! So let me provide them:
