So hey, I’m back! I’ve went out and didn’t actually do much blogging related last week.

…Ok, I’m lying.

Did you actually go on blogging break?

Well, sure, if not posting anything on the blog constitutes a break. Otherwise, I guess not.

DID you at least get away from the site?

Well, I wanted to, especially either Monday or Tuesday. But I kept getting hits and responses from that manga post I did, and comments here and there, so I replied back to them. That pretty much ended my vacation.

So…when’d you start getting back into the swing of things?

Wednesday. I basically had to start figuring out how to save disk space, talking with the hosting admin, deleting a lot of old posts and images, etc. I then had to start getting ready for Summer Anime Season. Basically a bunch of personal stuff. Along the way going to a job fair was included. Crap happens. But yeah, I started doing blogging stuff last week, if only to prep for this upcoming week! So stay tuned to a bunch of stuff! And also, pardon some of the changes I may or may not have made to the blog. Some you can easily notice right away, some maybe not.

Anyways, while I’m on my updating spiel…

Follow the Organization ASG Twitter account! Like us on Facebook! Eventually more videos will be up on Youtube so subscribe there (and Google+ if you use it) too! Tell people about it! And be on the lookout for some US industry relevant stuff that I’m finally gonna do something with, since I get emails on it. You’ll hate me for it soon enough!

For now though, I guess I should get to Reference Resource Mondays.

  • Oh CNN. You had one job, one job!…Well actually, did they have a job to somehow include manga comics in Japan banning child porn? I guess that’s how they get the hits!
  • Needless to say, those with common sense scoffed at it. And had to go crazy over CNN’s apparent lack of research.
  • Tony has the most appropriate Tomoko picture in his post about why people are curious about incest. And also has a saying by Urotsukidoji creator Toshio Maeda that’s pretty telling.
  • An excellent series going on involving cross dressing in anime and manga, as Leah covers Wandering Son and its characters dressing towards their gender identity.
  • Go Nagai did an original anime. It apparently is nothing like Violence Jack.
  • I guess we’re never gonna be done talking about English Light Novels are we?
  • Well hey look! There is someone that likes sports anime! They exist, honest!
  • Well hey look! Someone’s admitting they like anime! Well why wouldn’t ya???
  • Finally, to celebrate Ani-Gamers’s 10 year anniversary, they rounded up the Top 10 posts, and also a few podcasts they really liked.

Tweets That Totally Involve CNN, Honest

@Kami_nomi ( . Y . ) ((( . Y . ))) *jigglejiggle*

— RAAAAAAAAAGE ON ???? (@zetsubouzhainu) June 20, 2014

(Actually, that has nothing to do with CNN. It’s just that crap happened online.)

@Kami_nomi I watched the CNN report. Dude walked into a manga store in Akiba, they blurred the entire thing, and said it was all porn!

The image of a man pointing at Love Hina confusedly, saying "These are not children being raped" is the image of our generation

— David Cabrera (@sasuraiger) June 18, 2014

CNN seems like the kind of people who's informed on Japan via Danny Choo's COOL JAPAN

— Destitute Hazu (@Hazukari) June 18, 2014

Lots of manga fans up in arms over this CNN report but it covers the issue quite well imo http://t.co/AZ01UoeiOc

— Brad Stephenson (@Shuttlecock) June 22, 2014

People outside Japan seem to think the report is about ALL manga. It's only about the child-porn sub genre in relation to a new law.

— Brad Stephenson (@Shuttlecock) June 22, 2014

Imagine if CNN actually found the bad shit and anime fandom creeps.

— Jesse P (@CrusherJ) June 19, 2014

Too bad no one at CNN (or the Daily Show, for that matter), read this essay @CBLDF: http://t.co/ZvRLL8YaR4

— The Manga Critic (@manga_critic) June 21, 2014

christ what is up with BBC and CNN suddenly concerned that Japan has evil manga

— thor-rific (@hachikurooo) June 20, 2014

One problem that the the infamous CNN story highlights is that people are still lazy cattle that don't question anything.

— Greg (@Thedigitalbug) June 20, 2014

It's nice when anime fans can set aside their differences and come together to attack CNN for basically calling us all pedophiles.

— N?ØNT?ST?R (@neontaster) June 18, 2014

CNN????????????????????18????RT @zoid9000: oh god it gets even better. that manga cover CNN censored? Not even porn. http://t.co/NPiLOPSyNp
