- Redmi has launched two new audio products in India.
- The devices are the Redmi SonicBass neckband earphones and the Redmi Earbuds 2C.
- Expect special prices of ~ $ 20 each for the products.
Whether smartphones, laptops or wearables - the Redmi sub-brand from Xiaomi is known for the fact that it largely offers an excellent price-performance ratio. The company is definitely living up to that ethos with their latest audio announcements for India.
The Xiaomi brand has launched the wireless Bluetooth 5-toting Redmi SonicBass headphones and Redmi Earbuds 2C. Starting with the earlier product, you'll see a neckband design with magnetic earbuds and an IPx4 rating for splash and sweat proof design.
The SonicBass earbuds also offer dual-pairing capabilities, dual noise-canceling microphones, a multi-function button and music playback for up to 12 hours (charging via microUSB takes two hours). Check out the design below.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Earbuds 2C is similar to the well-received Redmi Earbuds S in terms of both earbud and case design. Here, too, you get an IPX4 rating as well as noise reduction, a multifunction button and up to 12 hours of playback with the charging case (charging via microUSB itself takes two hours).
The Redmi SonicBass earbuds are priced at Rs 1,299 (~ $ 18) and come in black or blue colors. However, the company is offering a promotional price of Rs 999 (~ $ 14). Do you need real wireless goodness in your life? Then the Redmi Earbuds 2C will retail for Rs 1,499 (~ $ 20) but have a promotional price of Rs 1,299 (~ $ 18). There is no word on how long the promotional prices will last.
The two devices will be available through Mi.com, Mi Home Stores and offline retail partners. However, the SonicBass earbuds are sold through Flipkart while Amazon India has dibs on the Earbuds 2C. Both devices will be available starting today (October 7th).
