Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition has been scheduled to launch on April 27 in China. It will be the first gaming smartphone under the Redmi branding from Xiaomi. Some previous reports suggested that it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset and might feature a Samsung E4 AMOLED screen.

After a lot of teasing, today, The Chinese tech company shared a teaser of the Redmi K40 gaming smartphone on Weibo. As per the teaser, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition will make its debut on April 27 in China. In addition, The teaser also confirms that the gaming handset equips a triple camera setup on the back. There is also a dedicated gaming slider that pops up the gaming triggers and lights up LED light rings around the camera module when toggled.


In related news, Some previous reports hinted the some of the key specifications of the device. As per the earlier reports, Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition will sport a Samsung E4 AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, It will be powered by MediaTek flagship Dimensity 1200 SoC. It might pack a massive 5,000mAh battery and support a 67W fast charger. Coming to the pricing of the device, the previous report claims the phone could be priced at 2000 yuan (around Rs.23,058). If the smartphone will launch at this price range then it would be the cheapest gaming phone on the market.
