Red Rooms (2024)- A French Canadian Indie Hit In Need Of Audio Description
Quick Take: this is a quickie. Red Rooms was recommended to me, and I also was given a screener. Sadly, to my knowledge, this movie has no known English audio description. It is also a French Canadian thriller, and while it may have fans, i can’t read the subtitles. I need audio description for films not in the English Language. Nevertheless, I sat through this, since the assumption always is that if a film is presented to me without accessibility, it must be in a form that doesn’t need it. Sadly, that is very misguided here, and the movie has very little English. There’s a character that has a few interactions with an Alexa type device, and those were the few brief moments in English. Honestly, without looking it up, I couldn’t tell you what the movie was about. you can check out the video, but this is easily unwatchable due to lack of audio description.
