We talk about pointers because nothing can truly describe the indescribable. It’s unknown because it is unknowable. Awareness is not subject to objectification. So, all we can do is point at Awareness. You can point at a chair. But when you point at space what’s being pointed at? You can say, “Oh, I’m pointing at space!” But that’s not it. Can you show me silence? What does it look like? What is its sound? The point is all we can attempt is a pointing. Don’t get hung up on the finger that’s pointing. The finger is the delusion.
So whatever a pointer ends up being, and the possibilities are infinite, an investigation begins within the mind that challenges existing assertions or beliefs about the nature of reality. This investigation if carried out honestly and diligently leads to the inevitable recognition of what alone can have any reality. That being what is aware of the mind that is investigating, the only reality which can not be negated or seen through because it’s doing the seeing in the first place.
The mind points, Awareness sees. The negation of mental dualities is nothing more than pointing the mind towards transparency. When the veil of thought is sufficiently cleaned away a shining mirror is perceived underneath. This mirror is Awareness seeing itself. All that’s left is to drop the distinction between Awareness and mind. The primordial duality, Maya.
Never mind, never matter.

The mind seen as an appearance has no independent reality, it’s merely the content of Awareness…not separate.
Recognize what it is that’s investigating. What are you using to point at truth? Are you confused? Perhaps you can’t figure it out! The confusion is the mind trying to make sense of seemingly separate objects. It sees the world as countless diversity, this and that, multiplicity. To make it all work it has to put it all together in a logical system, religion, philosophy, a science, a belief – the operating system. The mind never realizes it is that which has taken everything apart in the first place. It made the problem of “I need to make sense of my experience.”
So recognize that if there is no thought there is no experiencer and there is no objective world. Never mind, never matter. Only this, arising in Awareness…thusness.
