Recipes for Free: Red Leaf, Watermelon & Apple Salad

This lovely salad uses hearty red leaf with fresh watermelon, chopped apple and other crunchy goodies to balance out it’s bite. Drizzle it with olive oil, fresh lemon juice and balsamic vinegar or your favorite salad dressing for an amazing summer salad.

Red Leaf, Watermelon & Apple Salad

Ingredients

2 heads of red leaf greens, washed and chopped
1 medium tomato, quartered
2 cups watermelon, cubed
1 small apple, diced
1 cup shredded carrot
1/8 cup fresh chives, finely chopped
pinch of brown sugar
To taste: fresh lemon juice, drizzle of olive oil, balsam in vinegar
Garnish with course sea salt & cracked black pepper

Ingredients

1. Prepare salad ingredients and toss in a large salad bowl. Plate salad and garnish with sea salt, cracked black pepper, and dressing.
