1 million packets of birth control are being recalled by Pfizer, according to the Associated Press. A packing error is being blamed, which could leave women at risk of getting pregnant by accident. 14 lots of Lo/Ovral-28 tablets and 14 lots of generic Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol tablets are named in the recall. They have expiration dates between July 31, 2013 and March 31, 2014.
Pfizer says some of the packets either have too many or too few pills. They were reportedly shipped to pharmacies, clinics and warehouses across the nation. To contact Pfizer with additional questions, click here.
