Story: Rebel Ridge starts when ex-Marine Terry Richmond (Pierre) gets rammed off the road by local cops Steve Lann (Cohen) and Evan Marston (Denman). They search and take his money, which is meant to bail out his cousin. The cops warn him to leave and not challenge their decision. However, Terry refuses to back down and works with Summer McBride (Robb) to understand what is happening.

Terry makes a drastic decision to get what is his back, letting him show off his skills from his marine training. However, Chief Burnne (Johnson) isn’t going to let him get away with things that easily.

Verdict on Rebel Ridge

Rebel Ridge is an action thriller following a former Marine challenging a town’s corruption after they target him. He wants to bail out his cousin, but they target him and make his life difficult, leading to him fighting back, and using all his skills to do so.

This movie takes us into a world of small-town corruption. The idea one man can overturn a town’s system and expose everything they have been doing in an act of revenge. There is an amazing level of tension from the first scene to the closing sequence. It is an excellent thriller where Aaron Pierre shines in the leading role.
