Realme May Become Completely Independent From Oppo, Company Responds
UPDATE: Realme has reached out to Mashable India to clarify that the information given was misunderstood at source. The company issued an official statement in response to the news of breaking away with Oppo saying, “We wanted to clarify that Realme Mobile Telecommunications Private Limited is already an independent brand and legal entity. realme was officially established on May 4th, 2018 by its founder Sky Li and Madhav Sheth.”
Realme does operate independently from its parent company Oppo, but the two entities do share resources at the moment but that could change soon.
Say who? Well, speaking to DigiTimes, Realme Taiwan's Chief Commercial Officer (COO), Chung Hsiang-wei, claimed that Realme may choose to be independent of its parent company should its business scale continue to expand.
