The Real Housewives of Dallas' By Andra Simmons was hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus.
The 51-year-old Bravo star was taken to a Dallas facility after her oxygen levels dropped and she will soon begin treatment with the anti-virus drug remdesivir.
"D'Andra Simmons tested positive for Covid and was admitted to the Covid ward at UT Southwestern Hospital in Texas," her press secretary said in a statement to E! New. "Her oxygen levels were on the limit, and she is going to start remdesivir. At this point, we ask you to respect it and [her] family privacy and send your prayers for a speedy recovery. "
From Andra Real housewives co-star Jennifer davis shared a message of support on her Instagram story. "Please pray for @dandrasimmons, she has COVID, is in intensive care on oxygen," Jen posted.
Last week, D'Andra shared on Instagram that she was at home recovering from ankle replacement surgery. She posted a family photo on Saturday Dec. 26 that showed her left leg bandaged and wrote in the caption that she felt "very grateful" for her friends and family this year.
