Every time the calendar gets to September it’s like I automatically expect it to cool down. Well realistically that is not going to happen for a bit in Dallas but that doesn’t mean I can give those of you whole are going to get the color weather sooner than later a little style inspiration!

You may or may not remember this look that I kind of wore (minus the vest) to an event that I hosted a few weeks ago. Since it was middle of summer I untucked the chambray shirt and tied it in a knot for a more casual/summertime look. While the look worked for the event, it’s time to think ‘fall’ so tucking the shirt into this pleated skirt (side note: this is the BEST pleated skirt) really makes the look appear more polished and transitional.

This look when broken down is really quite simple. The combination of blue hues, a metallic flat and a vest make is easy to put together, polished enough to wear on a variety of occasions and very transitional. Can you tell that I am officially ready for fall? Feel free to send those cool vibes to Dallas!
